Hi Lisa:
The only thing you can really do is save your Keylist Folder, and
there are no guarantees about this folder. From the Main Menu,
you can, press F, then C to copy. Go to your Keylist Folder. At
the "list of files" prompt, press dots 3-5 chord and press Enter.
Make sure you select your compact flash card. You may also want
to do this with the Keymail folder. The work-around would be to
save each E-mail you want. This is more time-consuming, but
worth it in the long run. This is what you would do.
BT Commands
1. Open the E-mail or any other document you want to save.
2. Press S chord. You'll see "document has not been
modified."
3. Press Backspace twice to get to the "drive" prompt.
4. Press C for the compact flash drive, and press Enter.
5. Select the folder for the file.
6. At the "file name" prompt, you will see "computer Braille
is required."
7. At this point, press Backspace with X to select your
document type.
8. If you select KeyWord, you can write the file type in grade
two.
9. For BT users, if you select Ascii, or other text document
types, you'll need to write in computer Braille. Press Enter.
10. You'll see "open document after saving?" Press Y for yes.
11. If it was an E-mail you opened, you will be returned to
your E-mail.
Qwerty Commands
1. Open the E-mail or any other document you want to save.
2. Press Ctrl with S. You'll see "document has not been
modified."
3. Press Ctrl with D to get to the "drive" prompt.
4. Press C for the compact flash drive, and press Enter.
5. Select the folder for the file.
6. At the "file name" prompt, press Ctrl with X to select your
document type.
7. Write in your file name and press Enter.
8. You'll see "open document after saving?" Press Y for yes.
9. If it was an E-mail you opened, you will be returned to
your E-mail.

Subject: [Braillenote] backing up my email folder on storage card
Hi Everyone,
Maybe I didn't explain myself well enough earlier. I want to be
able to only back up the folder called my email. Why because
it's easier to find then. I would prefer to just move that
particular file to the flash card if that's possible. If
something happened and my email database crashed My Email would
be lost with all of my helpful emails I've saved. I keep looking
in the file called email folders and don't see anything. Nothing
like inbox, outbox, trash, nothing. I was thinking there was a
simple procedure that was included in KS 6.11 to accoplish this
task. Perhaps I'm wrong? Basically I want to be able to save My
Email folder so that particular file name shows up on the flash
card so the information is easy to find. Any ideas?
Thanks for your time and your help.
Lisa
