I'm sorry to have caused any problems by asking this question. I did not want to burden people by trying to list both insructions in one email. I only know sqwerty so it's really hard for me to give instructions to someone using a BT . What I was hopeing was a resource so the individual that wants the information in alternative instructions would beable to easily convert them. We all have manuals but that is not always the answer for finding instructions. I personally find the individual instructions given by the kind people on this list are usually easier to follow and are more explanatory than what is in the manual.

Rhonda,

I think probably quite a lot of people would welcome them as a
side-by-side
(or follow-on) so that you just look up in your list a command
for, say,
"Read all" and see both Braille and QWERTY keystrokes listed. I
wouldn't
like to be the one doing the homework for this but, if you have
an easy
enough way to do it and feel able, please let us have a list.

Thanks.

Yes, both sets of commands are needed; I try to include those in
my posts. If anyone needs separate lists, I'll be glad to put
them together. I did try doing that for someone last night, and
I'll be glad to do it again, if needed.

I don't think you can compare the commands. It's like comparing
dogs and
cats. I requested and received a copy of the BT commands from
list members
so I can "translate" between the two. I don't feel unfortunate
in having a
QT--I just feel it would be nice if people included both commands
in their
step-by-step instructions. I am guilty of only including QT
commands and I
am trying to change this habit.

Dogs and cats both walk on four legs and both QT and BT models
use commands,
but, like dogs and cats, they are two different species, their
keyboards are
different, menus are different and their "personalities" are
different.

: Is there any where that I can get a list BT commands and their
QT
: equivalents? There are many times on this list that
instructions are only
: given in BT format. While I may not currently need that
information, I do
: like to save things where people give specific steps on how to
do
something.
: Unfortunately, I have a QT and have never used an electronic
device with a
: braille keyboard so I have no idea what any of the terminology
means to
even
: try to figure out the equivalents.
