Could it be that you're listening to something quite low and
already have
your volume at full rate?
Remember there are three independent volume settings on the BN so
you may
need to play a little.

I did try function with comma and period while in KeyWord and the book reader using 7.01 and the adjusting the volume works just fine from here.
