Hi Evelyn and list,
I only saw one USB disk drive on the site. It is on special and
they say it is overstocked. It is right near all the home page
information on the site.

Hello all,
Are you still mourning the loss of your traveler disk drive since
you cannot use it on your M-power or are you still using that
drive
on an older BN product? This has been covered before but there
truly is a much better option if you need to access floppy disks
for
any reason. I'm not kidding, this is a much better option and
the
external USB floppy disk drive I recently purchased works much
better than the old Blazie disk drive and it works much better
than
the traveler disk drive. There is no comparison! No batteries
are
needed since the drive operates from the M-power's USB port. One
can insert or remove disks from the drive even though it isn't
plugged into the USB port. It doesn't need to be plugged into a
110
volt outlet either. It is truly the kind of floppy drive we have
needed for our notetakers for some time.
I received a floppy disk in the mail the other day. I had to
fire
up my old windows 98 PC in order to access the files on that
disk. My new laptop doesn't have a floppy drive. I copied the
files from the floppy disk to the hard drive on my old PC. I
then
went onto my network and copied the files to my M-power. That
was
all fine and good but I thought there should be a better way
especially if I'm dealing with a number of floppy disks. I'm not
able to get to Best Buy easily so did a Google search on a vendor
which sold a USB external floppy disk drive. I came onto
www.floppydisk.com. That is floppy disk dot com. The drive I
purchased was $19.95 plus six dollars shipping. I received it in
three to four days. I was able to read a file with this floppy
drive even though my M-power battery was at ten percent. The
drive
works quickly as well. It shows up as a floppy drive in the BN
and
the A drive in my laptop. Floppy disk dot com was saying they
are
overstocked on this item. They claim to check out each drive
before
shipping it to the customer. One has a sixty day period to
return
the product if they aren't satisfied with what was purchased.
The drive is about a third of the size of the traveler disk
drive. It is smaller than the Blazie disk drives and no battery
required. Too bad floppy disks are being replaced with newer and
better options since this drive works so well. As I say, if you
are
in need of a USB external floppy disk drive, this is certainly a
good option.
