in the first place, why isn't humanware paying to send this unit back for repair? freedom scientific pays to have the pacmates back for repair, and there units are cheaper. ----- Original Message ----- From: "robert stigile" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hello Gail,
I usually insure my unit for the value of what I would pay if I had to buy a new unit.
Hth,
Robert

Subject: [Braillenote] My Compact flash tale of Woe

Hi Everyone,

This afternoon, I was all excited because I was ready to install
my
new Sendero GPS software. But I had never used a compact flash
card. Mirna was kind enough to help me. But my unit wouldn't
recognize the card.

After putting myBraillenote BT through the paces of several
system
resets and trying another flash card asMirna so patiently
suggested,
which didn't get recognized either, I called back for an RMA to
send
in my unit.

My question is how much do I ensure myBN for? I have only had
it
since September, so I know it is still under waranty. However, I
know
that interesting things happen during shipping so ensuring is
always
a good idea.

If someone can get back to me ASAP, it will probably be shipped
tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks.

Gail Bryant
