Hi Jim, Lisa, and list:
When the 6.11 upgrade came out, there was a patch that could be installed. I remember that I downloaded it on to a compact flash card, because when you do a 456 (Jkl) reset, the patch would go away. I'm wondering, Lisa, if that would help you. I believe it is Hyde Security Patch for 6.11.

Hi Lisa and list,

I believe you are experiencing a problem which Keysoft 6.1.1 has.
It was
problematic to go into secure connections or new browser windows
or the BN
would lock up. Or, it would beep and nothing else would happen.
I got to
your first five options and did find a "click here" button but it
didn't say
for what. I got that secure connection message and a certificate
verification message and I said "yes" to continue, then I got
into some
stuff. Until you can upgrade to 7.01, I'd use a PC to fill out
that
application.

Subject: [Braillenote] BN refuses to click on a link

Hi Everyone,

I hope someone can help. The BN refuses to click on a link. It
says
linking with the speech but refuses to show it with the Braille
and it
refuses to do anything. The unit doesn't freeze, it doesn't
attempt to
link it just sits there. Doing resets does nothing. I am
trying to apply
for a job and the link I'm trying to click on should bring up
the job
application. My BN has KS 6.11 it's a classic BT. I don't
think I have
encountered this before. I wonder which I like least the BN
refusing to
link to something or freezing the unit causing me to reset it? I
do have a
number to call for assistance (the people that maintain the Web
site) but
I doubt they will be helpful since the BN isn't well-known by
tech support
people outside of the blindness field.

Any suggestions would be great. Let me walk you through the
steps I took.

1. The Web site is www.dodea.edu

2. Go to the link that says text only.

3. Go to the link that says employment.

4. Go to the link that says educators online application.
5. Go to the link that says submit and enter my application.

6. Click on the link that says click here to apply now. Good
luck
because it does nothing for me.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks for your time and your assistance.

Lisa
