Dear Katie:

The simplest way is to ask the dealer or manufacturer.  If you
are dealing with a store, ask if you can try the card in your
unit.

If it works like a charm the first time, it is probably 3.3 volt.
But then it could be a 5.5 volt one and the stars were just
aligned the right way in the Zodiac.

Since most computer store staff probably don't know a volt from a
subway train, you can probably assume they are selling 3.3 volt
cards especially in the higher capacities.

The lack of technical knowledge among retail staff is amazing.
