Hi Lisa,
You cannot change a zip file to an .exe file without unzipping it first.
The file is compressed in the zip file, so when you rename the zip
file to an .exe file, you don't have the full .exe file which is
still compressed.
So, the one suggestion that someone, I think Pam, had was to rename
the file with the .bks extension, then, run the book reader and open
the file, which will unzip it into the full HideSecurityDialogs.exe
file, which you can then run from the Utilities, application.
Make sure you have plenty of room on the disk you have down loaded
the file to. The full .exe is about 5 megabits.
I'd put it on a compact flash card if you have one.
So, before you down load the file again, delete the ones you already
have so you don't accidently try it with the wrong file.
I hope this helps.

Hi
Okay the hidden security dialogs patch for KS still will not
run. Here are the steps I am taking.
1. I go to Humanware's home page.
2. I link on the ^. downloads.
3. I link on the words Braillenote downloads.
4. I go to the section that talks about the hidden security
patch. I download where the link says to download it.
6. The file downloads with the extension zip.
7. I go to the file manager menu where I locate the file. The file
still has the zip extension.
8. I rename the file with the exe extension. Unfortunately
the file will not allow me to rename just the extension. I rename
the file exactly the way it is written hiddensecuritydialogs in
uncontracted Braille. I add the dots 4-6 for the period and the letters exe.
9. I go to the utilities menu. There I press a to run the
application. The BN asks which directory and the file is
found. The file has the exe extension.
10. The BN says not valid WIN 32 application.
Any ideas? I don't mind redownloading the file and deleting it
several times daily. Something this simple shouldn't be this difficult.
Thanks for your help and your time.
Lisa
