I know this is old, but did it ever get resolved? If not, I would be glad to try to help.

Hi Joseph,

None of the documents have graphics, and to my knowledge, no dialog appears.
Jen can answer this one a little more accurately, but I'm 99% sure the
document is strictly text.

I know personally, when a word document has tables, then, it gets annoying
to work with it on the Braille Note, but I haven't had any problems opening
any of the files I've tried excluding the files with tables.

Sarah,
Does the word document have some kind of graphics? Or, more specifically,
does a wordpad or something dialog appear when Jen tries to open a
particular document?

Hi Joseph,

This doesn't make sense because I can easily view word 2003 documents on my M-Power, and I have the same keysoft version (7.0) and word 2003. Something
really doesn't make sense.

Sarah

Jenny,
There are some issues with some word documents. In Windows CE 4.2 (I'm
talking about KeySoft 7.0), the operating system allows you to view Word
2000 to 2003 documents. There is an issue with Word XP and 2003 that
prevents proper reading of documents. In order to overcome this issue, you
must save the document using Word 2000 format, rich text, or plain text
format.

Sarah,
What's the version of KeySoft that Jen has?

Hi List,

Jen and I have been trying to resolve her problem with word documents.
I thought that perhaps using active sync to convert them to .pwd files
would work, but she is unable to open any word document files. We
tried creating and saving a text file (*.txt) file, and that
synchronized and opened perfectly. I use Word 2003 and have no
problems opening files and synchronizing them on the PC or the Braille
Note...so I am at a loss as to what to suggest.
Does anybody have any suggestions? We tried a reset on the Braille
note.

Sarah
