what is rfbd I under stand it's a talking book service but does
it cost anything and if so how much wood it cost fore the bn

I would really not like to have to send by BN in to RFBD.
At most, I would hope that, as with the bookport, I can purchase
a small AND
INEXPENSIVE patch from RFBD. The RFBD patch only cost about
$20. It will be
a shame if we are charged a large amount, or if we are required
to wait for
another upgrade, and pay for it, before having BN read DAISY
digital books
from RFBD.

I ran into Jonathan at the ACB National Convention and I think he
said the
RFBD digital Talking Books is being worked on.
The Victor Readers from Humanware can play them but you first
have to send
your unit to RFBD to have a software fudge installed by them.
Not sure if doing a firmware upgrade to the Victor Readers
requires
re-installing the RFBD fudge or not. I suspect it may as I think
the update
process erases the firmware roms.
