Hi Karen, I am having some preliminary success with quicken. It's a little squirly, at least quicken 2002 is, but it's working with JAWS. Will it work with a braille display? I don't know because I haven't tried. It's my guess that you would get some feedback. It would certainly work if they wrote a program for the BN.

With respect to the financial packages and Excel, are these types of programs usable with Braille display? If they are not, then they are not usable for some who are deaf-blind. Quicken does not seem to be an option as it is not accessible right now; and keep in mind that screen readers on a PC do drive a Braille display; and Quicken is not accessible to a screen reader as far as I know. It is also for this reason that I would like to see what Ray has suggested with regard to packages with various options for purchase of software to run on your BN. With an option like this, you can get more of what you want and don't have to take things which you don't want or can't use. For example, I would not need to take the Media Center because I will not use it. Also, someone who needs a TTY package could have the option to buy that instead of say the media center. Also, I agree with Rachel regarding reading all messages before responding to them as this would cut down on list traffic. In fact that is what I am trying to do right now. Take care. **All outgoing messages scanned for viruses using Norton Antivirus 2006.
