Hi Katie, the JAWS Keynote driver is only necessary if you have an older
version of JAWS. Version 7.1 includes the Keynote support as part of the
JAWS installation. But this driver is still on our web site to facilitate
users of earlier versions of JAWS using their BrailleNote or VoiceNote as
a speech synthesiser.

The Visual Display software works with certain models of Palms to allow
anything you type to be seen on the Palm's display. You can also make use
of this functionality with any terminal programme, such as the
Hyperterminal package that comes with Windows.

Subject
[Braillenote] JAWS Keynote Driver and Visual Display?

I saw on the humanware site under the downloads section two things which
peaked my curiosity. As the subject line states, those are the JAWS
Keynote Driver and the Visual Display. I am just wondering if it is
necessary for me to download these two programs? If I am not connecting
to my PC using the Serial or Bluetooth connections, do I need to to use
the KN Driver and VD?

I think these are all my questions for right now *smile*

Thank you,

Katie
