Nicole, thanks for asking this question. Firstly, let me clarify that
putting "OT" at the beginning of a message does not somehow make it OK to
post. In fact, if a message is off topic, and a user knows that it is,
then posting it is really quite inconsiderate.

Off topic messages would include discussion of other products, general
technical chat that has no relevance to the BrailleNote, chat of a
personal nature that is not relevant to the list.

Basically, anything is on topic here if it relates to the use of a
BrailleNote or VoiceNote. For example, if you use a Western Digital 80GB
hard drive with your BrailleNote, then discussing how this works and maybe
even a good deal on one is quite appropriate. Basically, the rule of thumb
should be to ask yourself, "does this message have any relevance to the
BrailleNote?" If the answer is no, it's off topic.

Thanks again for asking the question.

Subject
[Braillenote] What's Considered Off Topic

Just to make sure that I'm not posting off topic things, is something
like asking how to synchronize two programs on your computer in order to
get
information from one of the programs to the BN considered off topic? Just

as a refresher, can we please have a little better definition of "off
list"?

Thanks,
Nicole
