It seems to me that you're talking about a very major hardware
change. At least as major as the change from the Classic to the
MPower. It would be lovely to be able to change batteries
independantly, but speaking practically, I can't see that it'll
happen any time soon.

BATTERIES:ASUGGESTIONORTWO?
Hi list members,
I think that it would be a good idea if two batteries were
provided and that they could be changed by the user as in a cell
phones, cordless tools etc.
I have a cordless drill driver and have two batteries of which I
can interchange as needed while charging one I can continue my
work and then change again when needed.
This eliviates having to send these units back and forth saving
the user shipping and insurance costs. This would also cut down
on units being sent back for service for just a battery change
and make room for more important service needs.

Hi All:
I agree 100% on the battery suggestion. That way, if you found
you
needed a new battery, you could buy one from HW and have it sent
to you
so you could put it in yourself. Many products come with
batteries that
you can independently change.
What would also be nice along with a battery you can change is a
charger
that would allow you to charge the battery separate from the BN.
That
way, if you use your BN a lot, you could have one battery in the
unit
and when it is discharged, put in a freshly charged battery and
use the
BN while charging up the first battery.
