Well, I don't know, the bn is a product for the blind. How many thieves are going to take the time to try and figure out all the commands etc to get stuff from a product that doesn't even have a screen? Most sighted people have no idea what a blind person uses for ordinary everyday living, let alone how this technology works. As for other blind people, I guess that's a concern, but I think the bn could be made secure enough that this isn't a major issue. If it were me and I was using the bn for financial work, I would store that on something else, like a cf card or something, which would be kepped separate from the bn when not in use for that purpose. A security key lock would be nice, but there is a problem with that, mainly, if you forget your password, you're in big trouble.

next upgrade

Ray, you raise an excellent point; and this is definitely a major
point
against such a feature.

As Ray has said, we use MS Excel for our finances and it works
well. It is
more secure too because it is less portable. This is why I won't
keep
financial information on my VN.
