Ok, I accept your apology, but I was just curious as I have not experienced
any problems that I am aware of when using French with the mPower...

I think an apology is in order here.
Last night I made a flippant comment on the correlation between the amount
of time it takes for products to be released, and some problems which have
been reported in recent months.
I am apologizing because my inclusion of issues with the French BN's may
have been out of line.
While I was pretty sure some problem had been reported, I may have
misspoken.
It seems that some thought that it was french BN support which was causing
download problems. The below is, what I was thinking, made me think this.
There were many other messages speculating on the connection as well, but
I
did not find any statement from HW that there was, in deed, a documented
problem.
My thoughts may also have been sparked by the idea that there was a new
version of keysoft for the french BN.
I apologize for my eronious comment if, in deed, it has been proven that
there were no problems with the French support on BN.
My comments are not intended to disparage HW and the BrailleNote. I own
one,
use it continuously, and greatly benefit from its use. I am, however,
always
on a quest to get a lot out of it, and so I like to push in that
direction.

i've been no mail for a few weeks while traveling and wondered if
Humanware
has released any patches or build updates that cure the problem that
requires a reset after each download. I have also noticed that within the
options menu on my VoiceNote running KeySoft version 7 and in the braille
options selection, there is something about French braille language.
Since
I didn't purchase any other languages with my Voice Note and sort of
remember some discussion of this French language option being associated
with problems on the BN and VN, I wonder if any patch in the works or to
be
released will deal with that situation too.
By the way, while going to the web page that allows me to turn back on the
normal mail delivery, I noticed at the bottom of that page that Dean
Jackson
is still administrator of the HumanWare web site. Sort of gave me a
strange
feeling that whatever moderation flag he sets could be serious in the
extreme!
