You have made an excellent point.
My feeling is that only the Manufacturer of the Western Digital
Passport External 80-GB drive can answer. Equally important,
since many of us are using this product, they might just be
amenable to making some type of alternation so we can use the
download fature.
(I Have to say I really enjoy the Drive and don't mind having
to copy, rather than downloaddirectly. However, some folks
don't have as much free time as I do.)
