Hi Kathleen:

I am a little confused about your unprotecting your attachment question, detaching, and putting it in an email. I'll answer what I think you're asking, and you make the corrections -- <grin>.

When you are at the attachment, and have pressed Enter, you feel "detach or read"? You would press D to detach. Generally, you are told what the document type is in. You can change it if you wish, or just take the accepted document type. If you are needing to send it back in an email, from the Main Menu, press E, then W, as you would to write an email. When you have written in your subject line, go to the body of the message, and press Ctrl B, then I. You will feel, "insert document from which file"? If you're not sure what drive you're in, press Ctrl D to go to the "drive list" prompt. Select your folder and file. Once you see the file, just press Enter, and that attachment will be inserted to your email.

Hope this is what you meant. Please ask again, if I didn't understand correctly.

unprotecting anE-Mail attachment!

Hello Rhonda,

Yes, your instructions, as usual, make perfecdt sense.

Thank you.

Before I get off, would you be able to tell me how to
"unprotect" an attachment? I'm being asked to fill out a form
and it is an e-Mail attachment. I tried detaching it, but now I
can't get it into an E-Mail! It is in Keyword, under General
Folder.
(Any suggestion would be apprecaited, as I cannot find info
under E-Mail or Unprotect that works.)
Kathleen
