Chris,
I think she is wanting to find a particular text string, but
doesn't remember which file she put it in. This is a problem I
know very well, since I'm in the habit of just scribbling
something down at the bottom of wherever
I happen to be. You can search for a text string in any file, but
you cannot search across files.
Another kind of search would be to find a given file, without
having to go through the contents of each and every folder. Sad
to say, the BN family doesn't support this kind of search either!
Maybe someday?
HTH,
Rachael

Yes. When asked for the file name, do a dots 3-5 chord (BT
version).
This will announce, "Wild card character", I think. Hope this
helps.

Hello all,
I was thinking today about this question and decided to ask. Can
we do global searches across files? Like, say I wanted to find a
note that I jotted down, but didn't know which file it was in.
Can I do a search across all files, or at least those in KeyWord,
to see which file it's in?
Sorry if this question seems a bit dumb. Thanks for all answers.
Take care,
