Ottawa Canada

A comma in the dialling string does NOT instruct the modem to
wait for a second dial tone, it just pauses the dialling for half
a second which is usually enough time for a PBX to get an outside
line. Some Centrex switches require this pause in order to get
ready to receive the rest of the dialling string.

Hope this helps.
