Yes, it does help a lot. I think I'll apply for a CF card along with my parallel to bluetooth dongle and the MPower itself. Cheers!

Hi Chris and list,

Well, I've been wanting to rant a little bit about one of my SD cards, and this is as good a time as any to do it. When I insert the SD card, the wee switch on the side gets moved, protecting the card from being written to. I don't want it protected! It's my backup card! I take it out, fix the switch, which is very tiny and fiddly, put it back in, and most of the time, the switch gets moved again. I am intensely careful putting it in, but it all seems to be down to dumb luck, when it works and when it doesn't. You need to consider that little switch, which might be a problem for your fingers.

There is no doubt that the SD card is easier to take out of the BN. Grasping the CF card could present a bit of a problem. But I think that, overall, a CF card, being bigger, and at least in my case, enormously less temperamental, might be the preferable card. Of course, Carol is right, and if you get the chance to try both, so much the better.

Don't know if this helps, but it's good to finally get to whine about my SD card, which, btw, hasn't left my BN in weeks, because I hate fiddling with it!

Rachael

PS: Scott's right, you'll have to have an SD card for upgrades. You can get a little one for very little money, and then see about what you need for your storage.
