Hi all,
Do you mean that your counselor did send the correct paperwork? The
important thing here is either that HW receive assurance of payment or
the payment itself.
I really do think this is a matter for private communication, but
there does seem to be a communications glitch somewhere. The
important questions are to ask the counselor if the proper paperwork
was submitted to HW; proper paperwork means not only what is customery
for rehab but what HW is looking for in their record keeping. The
second line of questioning should be directed to HW in CA. Did they
receive any paperwork at all, and what kind. Did you get a repair
number? You're supposed to receive a requisition number for your BN
***before you send it in to them***. The letter and paperwork from
the counselor should have contained that requisition number. There
should have been a letter accompanying the BN, inside the package with
the correct requisition number clearly written on it. You needed to
keep copies of what you sent, too. Believe me, I've learned so much
from my current reader. She works for a lawyer as a paralegal, and
she never lets me do anything without making copies. I've had it
drilled into me, copy, copy, copy. Then they can't come back and say
they didn't receive it. Something like this, you need to keep a log
of when you called, who you talked to and what they said. My reader
drives me nuts sometimes, but it's payed off in a couple of
situations.
All I can say, Mona, is keep at this. You'll get your BN, but be sure
to keep accurate records. A note to Jonathan and HW staff, this is
nothing against you guys, but in this day and age, it should be SOP
for consumers. How do you think I found out that the phone company
was trying to make me pay for something which had already been
credited to my card?
Good luck,
Ann P.
