Hi KC,

As usual, I empathize, but I can tell you that as a member of the CCB
convention committee, There are a miriad of issues that have to be
considered when chooxing hotels, etc., and I won't even begin to go
there on this list. I am not on the ACB convention committee, so I
can't speak for them, so I do not know if the system was tested with
note takers, or even tested at all, or if it was, and it was decided
that this was a low priority, but I can gell you that if you ever get
involved with planning conventions, you will be swamped with enough
detail to send you over the edge, and you do have to prioritize, i. e.
is WIFI access for the deaf blind more important, than room rates,
facility layout, easy access to eating places, easy access to airport,
rail or bus station, well, you can see what I'm getting at.
Andy

ACB2006Convention

Hello Brian, Andy and List,

Since most of us do not travel with laptops, but notetakers,
is access to free wireless, when available, something that should be
considered by a Convention planning COmmittee?
(Before anyone misunderstands, I mean ANY
convention/Conference, aimed at blind or deaf-blind
consomers.) I understand there was a similar access problem at
the AADB National event in MD, this past June.
