Hi Folks,
I went and tried some different usb printers today at Staples and the
following printers work great.
All have only USB port connection.
I only tried printers that were low in cost, especially looking for
printers under $100.00.
HP photosmart 7160 works, sale price $150.00
HP photosmart 7850 works $70.00 clerance, but must buy black ink
cartridge for it, since only comes with photo color cartridge and
standard color cartridge, since it is for pictures, being discontinued
HP deskjet 5440 works $70.00
HP 460 CBI portable printer, $360.00 price, did work great on USB or
Bluetooth, which if you order HP 460 with bluetooth card.
It seems the 5000 series and the 7000 series of HP printers will
work, but try before you buy.
the following printers did not work.
They only had USB ports.
HP deskjet 4100 $80.00 sale price, did not work on usb, recognized
the printer and said printing was done, but nothing happened with printer.
Lexmark Z730 usb printer did not work, only $20.00 on sale
Did say it recognized printer and said printing was done, but nothing happened.
