For me it happens when I am just surfing the web. It doesn't have a lot to do with downloading books. I cleared all my files from my flash drive except for what was on my unit when I got it and I still have the storage problem error when I look at a few pages in a row. It only happens when I use my wireless card though. I will have to try it again with active sync to see if I have the same thing happen.

As you are aware, unlike you and some others, I'm not a
technology guru!  (smiile)
However, I've always tried to limit use of storage that could
easily go somehwere else. As a result, I always download books to
a  CF  card.  (It may not solve your problem, but I'd be
interested to see if it still occurs after you "delete unpacked
book,"  messae is handled.
