I never heard from them and it has been over a year. I was on that list in
July or august of 2005. There were a few of us concerned about battery
issues. We were told that people were contacted somewhere around October or
November once HW had gotten a handle on the problem.
I, for one, was never contacted. When I sent my unit in, I was told my
battery was fine and that there was no problem.
Still, with 7.01, charging might stop at 70 percent and it takes a number of
connects and disconnects to get it up to 100 percent. Also, at around eight
percent, this number goes no lower most of the time.
Occasionally, I have gotten to six percent before the Mpower dies, but I
have never seen zero or even one percent on the braille display before the
bn goes flat.
It's just one of those things I put up with. It's worth this little
inconvenience to have the Mpower.

Hi Liz, When I was at the ACB convention I spoke with someone from Humanware
and they said this was a problem that they were aware of. They took my name
and said they had a list of people to be contacted for a battery
replacement. I have not heard net, and plan on contacting them to see
what's up.
Nancy
