Leslie, Have you tried opening a chapter of the manual using the Book Reader? This way you can back up and read things over and over until they make sense. Also, you can use space with f to search for pieces of text in the chapters. Let me know if you try this and if it works for you. I never use the "t for table of contents" method anymore.
