Hi Rhonda and Cindy, I would like to add a couple things to Rhonda's excellent instructions for saving an Email as an HTML file, then opening that file in Keyweb.
First, after choosing the drive and folder where the HTML file should go, and when at the "file name" prompt, press read with x a few times until the BN says "all files". Then type the file's name followed by ".htm", without the quotes. I don't know why this helps, but it does seem to make the difference sometimes in whether or not I can find the file later. Also, when you go into Keyweb to open the file, at the "address?" prompt, press up arrow. This will put you at the "folder?" prompt, at which point you can navigate to your file in the usual Keysoft manner. When you get to the folder in which your HTML file is located, go in to the list of files, then press read with x to choose "HTML, text, and Braille files" instead of "favorites." Then you will be able to choose your file from the list. Again, let me know if any of this doesn't make sense, or if you need any more help. I did in fact open an HTML document. When you see an HTML document, go ahead and open it. Press Ctrl S for the querty keyboard, and Space with S for the BT. At the "folder name" prompt, select the folder you want it in. Remember that to select a drive, you would press Ctrl D, for the QT. For BT users, it is the Backspace key. Make sure you are at the "drive list" prompt. Press Enter once you have located the drive you have selected. Generally, I let mine go in the "none folder", just because I know where it is. At the "file name" prompt, name it with the dot html extension. Press Enter. You'll be asked if you want to review the options, but you can just go back to Main Menu. Now that you are at the Main Menu, press I. Go ahead and get up on the internet. It won't matter which site is your home page. At this point, press Ctrl 2 for the QT, and Backspace with O for the BT. When you press space once, you will see "open HTML". Press Enter. You will be asked what folder, and I just press Backspace to get to where I need to be. You may need to do it twice. Go to your "none" folder and press Enter. Use the Space bar to get to your HTML document, and press Enter. You will then hear the name of your website. Give it a little time, and your HTML document should start showing up. Hope this works for you. ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
