To address the first problem (space being pressed while in case): this is common to the BNs. They are set up so that all the user has to do to snooze the alarm is hit the space bar--a nice, convenient way to delay the alarm... Until that alarm sounds while the closed case is pressing on the space bar and opening the case releases that bar. The BN thinks you wanted to press SPACE to snooze the alarm, so it does what it is supposed to and hides the alarm and its easy-access menu until the snooze time is up. There is really nothing to be done about this.

As far as disabling all alarms, there is no way I can think of. This would make a great addition to KS.

The alarm options menu not always appearing is strange. The menu always comes up for me when I press BACKSPACE with ENTER during the sounding of an alarm, but that doesn't really help when turning it on.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] Planner alarm problem

I have been having issues with the planner alarms (definitely all
on my
part).

When an alarm goes off, if the case is closed it will say space
and then
automatically snooze the alarm without giving me a chance to read
it. In
addition, when I get the alarm and turn on the BN, sometimes I
will have the
menu to decide what I want to do but not always. Another thing,
is there a
way turn alarms off if I am not going to have the BN with me?
I.e. I went
to physical therapy and the alarm kept going off bothering the
people at
home.

I would really love some help with this issue.

Cindy
