Hello Tomi, and welcome to the list. As you'll soon find out, we have lots and lots of helpful people here, and I assure you that you won't have any difficulty fitting right in. Oh, and I fully agree with your statement that the m power is the best invention as far as pdas go for the blind. Enjoy, and feel free to post often. Isaih

Subject: [Braillenote] new member -- quick introduction

Hello to everyone,

I have just joined this list because I like the braillenote and
have a few interesting questions / tips that someone, I'm sure
might be interested in. Of course, I will participate as much as
I can in this list.

But before I start my life on here, I want to give all of you a
quick intro. I'll keep it short.

My name is Tamás ( Thomas in America ). I was born in a small
country, which is in Europe, called Hungary.
I was born with the common blindness desease called ROP on
september 29, 1991. Back in my age, a Hungarian blind person
could only dream of the United States and its world of
technology.

I came to this country in 2003 for the purpose of getting an
education and achieving my goal of becoming a translator in three
languages.

I received my first classic braillenote in 2004. I still
remember the day when my aide gave that small " weird machine "
to me.

Just this summer, my district was kind enough to transplant my
braille note classic to an MPower, so I would have the latest
technology.

In my country, notetakers are hardly available, and that ones
that are use msdos as the operating system.

Well, I hope I will be of some use to the list and will most
certainly try my best. I'm actually writing this with my new
MPower. It's just the best thing ever invented.

Hope everyone has a nice day!

regards:

Tomi ( preferred nickname )
