hi list and Rachael,

Nope. I do not think you need to press y and go into line mode. as long as you put 2 enters after a file name, it should work.

As for the folder name thing, just place the file in the same folder as you have the mp3s in. It just makes things easier... The backslash sign in braille, I believe is dots 1256. Not sure though.

As for the pc, just write the file and save it as a .m3u filename. You can either activesync or put the file on a cf card.

hope this helps.

Tomi

Hi Tomi,

These seem like very good instructions. But I do have one question. I would have thought that, when it asks if you want to review the options, you might say yes, changing the mode of opening and saving to line, instead of paragraph. Is this possible? I've made a playlist, but only on the PC, and once it was done, I had no idea how I did it! Thanks,

Rachael

hi,

Here are the steps for building an m3u files. These are pritty simple.

1. go to wordprocessor
2. go to create a document
3. select you're drive /folder where you want to put the m3u file. It's a
good idea to put it in the same folders where the mp3 files are.
At the "file name" prompt, press backspace with g. then press c for the
computer braille. now type A file name like "test.m3u". for period sign, use
the 46 braille sign. The point is that you're file should end with .m3u.
5. in the blank file, type in the filenames. Oh ya and when it asks you for
"review the options?" press n.
6. type in the names of the mp3 files. like:
test1.mp3
test2.mp3
test4.mp3
If the file is in a different folder, type the name. Like, if the file is on
a folder in you're compactflash card called "test", type:
\compactflash\test\test1.mp3.
if it's on the flash disk, type \flash disk\test\test.mp3.
Note that in the \compactflash\test\test.mp3, the word compact flash is
written without no spaces. with the flash disk, there are spaces.

6. just go back to the main menu. Try playing the file you made with the
media player.

hope this helps!

Tomi
