I think a standard will be set for these Daisy books whether RFB
and D goes
along with it or not. I for one want the new file advantages
that 7.2
offers and if I do indeed have another SMA, I'm going to use it!

the M-power do a graceful job in handling these RFB and D files
rather than
do a lousy job of it. For now, I'll enjoy what Daisy books I can
play till

school will suffer. So, if you NEED the upgrade, download it.
Of course, we will all have to download it if we want futures,

don't have to download it now.

The brailenote is a great product. It's much better than the
first
units back in 2001, especially the empower. But frankly if the
pacmate can read daisi or audible books, I don't know why
brailenote
users don't have these and other features.
to it's credit, I don't believe that humanware has ever said
that the
braillenote will replace your computer. But I don't think the
things
people have asked for necessarily means that one wants the
brailenote
to replace their laptop or desktop. we shall all see how much
attention humanware pays to the market in the coming months.

conversation
as well as to be filtered into various folders and see how your

reading process will speed up dramatically. Grouping mail, I can
get through
1000 messages in less than an hour notwithstanding replies.
Try the same number of messages on an Mpower or classic and tell
me how long
it takes you.

The point is, I should not have to sit here and reconstruct those

terms every time I download e-mail.
Admittedly my experience with the PC is greater, since I use
Outlook at work
and at home and have been doing e-mail on the computer for over
15 years,
however, I don't have time most days to deal with repetitive
tasks that
could be automated.
We have been asking for filtering of messages since I joined the
list in
late 2000 even before I received my Braille Note.
I never used it for e-mail in the early days, not until I got a
wireless
card last year in fact, but until my computer crashed I never
used it to
receive all my messages for a day.
For me, and many others like me who have limited time to deal
with e-mail
but need info from several lists, the current e-mail client is
annoying.
I know I am not the only person who has strong feelings on this
issue. It
isn't as if I am the only person or customer who would benefit
from changes
in the e-mail client.

I've really had no trouble with the mail, other than the
occasional loss. It
has been described many times on this list how to find and

messages, so filtering is not a problem. In fact, because of

block I have going with Outlook Express, filtering is easier for

BN. And, you really can read HTML messages, although I would

that you have to really want to! So, for me, it works
wonderfully!
Now the battery is entirely another issue! I have real problems
there, and
always have had, and when I get the time to turn around, I need

myself on the list of people who need battery help! In the mean
time, I do
what Rhonda does! It's plugged in most of the time, and there's
not a
problem. I'll be glad to have it fixed, but it's something I've
learned to

I have to agree about the reliability of the M-Power. I often
use mine for
up to 14 hours in a day. I've used it while on a 16-hour trip,
from door
to door. The battery went low, but, thank the good Lord, came
right back up
when I plugged it in to an outlet.
My friends bought a new, rather expensive, car and have had it
in the shop
3 times since purchase, which was in March. Someone from Church
bought the
same make/model car in February, and has had no problem. My
point, you can
have a unit of a product give you trouble. It doesn't mean the
entire
product line is unreliable.
