Hi Desiree,
The DAISY files which can be downloaded from bookshare are only text files
formatted with DAISY standards. This means that using the BN DAISY player,
you will be able to move around by certain units of navigation, for example
by section, or chapter.
The BN will still read to you in Eloquence or which ever speech you are
using.
Bookshare books are NOT read by a digitally recorded human voice as with the
RFBD books.

Ok, ignorant question. I have seen the daisey files on bookshare, but have
always done the brf files. What exactly is the daisey? Does it read it in
a synthesized voice still? What is the difference between listening to
eloquence read and the daisey reader?
I know, it is ignorant, but I am curious.

Desiree and Natasha, growing bigger and bigger every day!!!

Hi List,

Well actually I will not be getting the 7.2 upgrade because my school didn't

buy an SMA. But I do not think of ks7.2 as a real big thing... The daisy
reader is probably the most useful item in there... But it still would be
nice to have it.

As for the download, it would take about 3 hours on this 28.8 kbps. The prob

would be that my family needs the net anytime.

Regards:
Tomi
