While I am jumping in here late, was the non-working card ever used in a classic? If so, that may be your problem. Do you have a card reader for the PC? You will likely need one to find out what is on the CF card.
I ask the first question because I have had a problem with that. I have two cards which did work in a classic but do not work in an M-power.
