Hi Malaina,

SD cards can be formatted on the BrailleNote mPower. Couldn't remember myself but found an older message from Vicky:

From the Main Menu choose Utilities by typing "U" or using the spacebar,
cycle
through the options and press ENTER.
Choose "Application program" from the utilities sub-menu and press ENTER.
You will now be prompted to choose the program to run. You will need to
choose
the "Keysoft System Disk" and the Windows directory. Once in the Windows
directory the program you will need to run is "Prepare SD Card for Upgrade",
select this and press ENTER.
When prompted for "Command Line?" press ENTER. You will then be asked to
confirm
this by pressing "Y". You will lose all information on the SD card if you do
this.

Cheers.

Subject: [Braillenote] formatting sd cards

Hi list. I want to make sure I understand this right. Sd cards need to be formatted as phat 16 but is on a computer the only way to format the cards? Is there a way to format the sd cards on the bn? I do not have a card reader and I want to install 7.2. I need to get a smaller sd card though since the one I have is a 1 gig. Did I see someone write about is beter to use a card that is lower then 512 mb as appose to 512 mb. I was going to get the 512 but won't if people think it will not work well. I have not done this before. Either formatting sd cards or installing a new version of keysoft. I will more than likely ask for help to do both when I am able to get what I need.
Thanks,
Malaina
