Well, if one is unable to dial a phone, I see no need for a note taking
device, it would in all probability be far beyond such an individual.

Absolutely! I remember seeing a product called the BraileMate made by
Telesensory that had that feature. You just type in the name of the
person you wanted to call and press enter and it would dial the number
for you. Pretty cool.

I like the idea the more I hear about it.

Dear David and list:

Well the advantage of the Mpower generating DTMF (Touch Tone)
tones is that instead of just looking up a number for someone
then having to key it into your telephone, you just hold the
mouthpiece of the telephone to the speaker on the Mpower and the
Mpower tone-dials the number for you.

This saves having to remember the crazy number, maybe mixing it
up and things like that.

Some elderly blind people especially find a feature like this
handy. Also, if you are using a Calling Card, the Mpower could
generate the tones to input the card number and all you would
have to do manually is punch in the PIN unless it is part of the
string input with the card number.

Depending upon the existing circuits in the Mpower, it might be
able to be done all in software.

Hope this helps. Sorry for the delay in answering.

Brian
