The answer to that question is yes. Sendero has already stated so.

Subject: [Braillenote] Feature suggestion

Hi yall,
This summer I took a trip out to Utah. I had all of my maps, and
books on my pk. This worked out really well. However I quickly discovered
that I had to shut down my GPS in order to read my book and Visa-Versa in
order to read my book. Now I know that in the new Key soft 7.2 they have
finally added the Braille note GPS to the task list. Does this also mean
that when the next version of the GPS software comes out, it could
potentially work like the media player, playing in the back ground? I would
really enjoy it if I could go cruising across country reading a book, and
have my GPS announce when some thing interesting gos wizzing by, or I am
coming to a town or POI. According to the Human ware folks the trecker can
do this. Can anyone conferm this?
