I never found my way into that other door either. A lot of things in that game I couldn't figure out. I did cheet some ok a lot lol. I don't remember where the key is. The game has clues that help some and if you think about them some of them make sense. Some don't and are really confusing to figure out. I didn't like the endings of the game though. there's a key to one lock near you.

There was one door I never figured out how to open at all. I
wonder if
anybody else figured out how.  I'm not really sure you're really
supposed to go in that door anyway, but I was just dying of
curiosity.

If you haven't find a key, look around in all the rooms, examine
everything and go everywhere. You can also use help hints if you
are
not playing in expert mode.
