Unfortunately, I stuck with the old 6.11, but thank you for the advice.

Nicole,
Better than that, KeyMail would have an option to delete the attachment when
deleting the email. In your KeyList question, you need to create a KeyBase
database if you have 7.0. Create a field like assigned date, and at the
field type, select date.

Subject: [Braillenote] Attachments, Numbers, and Saving

I have three observations that I would like to share. First, I have
discovered that just because you delete an email with an attachment does not
mean that the attachment itself gets deleted. Unless one deletes the
attachment from the email before deleting the email or deletes the
attachment from the flashdisk\keymail\attachments folder, the attachment is still on the BN. So, if you can't figure out why a lot of room is filled up on your flash disk, check your attachments folder. I would suggest that, in a future version of KS, HW make the BN automatically delete the attachments with the email or make an option for emptying the attachments folder. While on the topic of attachments, I have noticed that one can save a non KS file
as a KS text file, but not a KS Braille file when one uses the detach
feature. I find opening the file and then saving it using the save command
frustrating because every the BN defaults to the folder that contains the
file where if I use the detach, it goes to the folder to which I last
detached or had open, which is very convenient when I'm detaching files from
separate emails for the same class. I could also use the store block, but
the translation settings for store block seem to be different than those of
saving the file directly or through detachment. It would be nice if one
could detach a non KS file as a Braille file.
I also noticed that in keylist, there does not seem to be a number only
field. I tried using uword, but when I put in 090806 to stand for September
8, 2006, it displayed some number like 20170 or something. I am trying to
make a school planner for my assignments in which the assignments are sorted
by date assigned, class, and then date due. Does anyone have any
suggestions on how to make the BN sort this correctly? I've already tried
putting the month, date, and year each in their own fields, but it's not
helping any.

Please help,
Nicole
