Richard,
The first issue that you've mentioned to happened to some of the list
member. I would suggest that let us start building a list of bugs that all
of us found n KeySoft 7.2 (whether you use Classic, mPower, or PK). Let
us
make a list of bugs that were found and publish them on this list so that
HumanWare development team can take a look at it.

I have another bug, at least on mine.
Sometimes, when you try to load a Daisy book, the mPower freezes.
At least with me it does.
Also, when you open a daisy file, for example, the New York Times from
Bookshare, and you get to the place where you are asked if you want to
deleete the original book, and you press y for yes, the braille display
emediatly says "Loading book." and then the unit freezes.

Subject: [BrailleNote] Some possible post release bugs
Dear list members, particularly HumanWare Software Development
Team,
I have noticed some bugs in KeySoft 7.2.32. Some were observed
by me, or
some were experienced my many of us on the list. Here are the
current list
of post release bugs:
1. Under some circumstances, the media file might stop playing
or the sound
might be muted during playback. The first issue happens when
KeyWeb and the
Media Player is run simultaneously. It occurs whille playing
certain media
files from certain USB devices. Tge second issue occurs after
you've
selected another file after the first issue occurs.
2. Some PK users has experienced an issue where their joystick
might not
function after the upgrade. Some reported that the joystick work
in certain
applications, while in oterh cases, it does not.
3. Some users, including myself, has noticed that the previous
and next
thumb keys will not work on keyWeb. Normally, these keys are set
to nivigate
by link and input control. When the user presses previous and
next thumb
keys, the speech moves to the next link or an input control, but
the braille
display remains at the first link on the page, plus an error beep
is heard.
4. When browsing the Information item in the Main menu, the
forcus does not
land on Information list, instead it lands on copyright notice.
When you
look at the Informaiton item, when you press space with dots
1-2-3 (Fn+left
arrow), the Information list appears as the first item, not
copyright
notice.
5. This is rather inconsistancy report: the file amanger
received more
functionalities. However, there are two issues: I would suggest
that we have
a shortcut key to move directly to the file manager from anywhere
from
KeySoft. For example, when you were browsing the web and when
you press the
shortcut key, there might be two choices: if you happened to
browse a
particular folder, you'll be placed back where you've left (e.g.
if you were
browsing a list of drives and you've found your Flash Disk, after
you return
to the file manager with that key, the focus will be placed back
at Flash
Disk). Second, the copy command, backspace with y, or Ctrl+y, is
only found
in file manager, where as the universal copy command, backspace
with k, or
Ctrl+k, is used by all of the KeySoft applications. So I would
suggest that
we use the standard universal copy command in the file manager
(backspace
with k, or Ctrl+k), as oposed to the its own backspace with y
(Ctrl+y)
command.
6. When you move through the list of applications on qT, you'll
notice that
GPS is listed althoughn the user did not installed it.
Thank you for your considerations.
