Hi,

  it's more that the BrailleNote uses components that take less
power.  The processor probably takes around a fifth to a tenth as much
power as a laptop processor, so you don't need to worry about cooling
as much.  It would be possible to use a fan, but it's not needed.

batteries are slightly different again - they always get hot, but it's
only supposed to be when they're almost fully charged and it's not
supposed to go much over 60 Celcius (140F), depending on the battery
type.
