Perhaps someone else may have a better idea but you could try
hitting a currsor routing key and see if that helps. Do you read
with braille mostly or speech? Check your braille display to see
what that says and if your where you want to be with braile on
the display and want to get there with speech hit the
corresponding routing key and I think that might do the trick.

No, I have a braille display, but this is disconcerting
especially if
you're on a crowded bus and reading and someone knocks one of the
keys,
and you have to find your spot again.

I scan some of the books I read, and save them as a txt file. I

just tried a brf one and the same occurs. Previously if I pressed
the
space bar accidentally, or any other key on the braille keyboard,
apart
from the thumb keys of course, the speech would stop at the point
where
I was, and I was able to press space g and read on from there.
