Terry, a power outage, I doubt caused anything to be wrong with
your mPower. If they are different document types, or hidden
files, it can make it show up only in the file directory. There
is no way I can know this, as I am not looking at your card.
Even if you are in the word processor, when you are at the "list
of files" prompt, always do a space with X if you think things
are missing. Just make sure you are seeing "list of all" files.
Warm Regards,
Rhonda Clark,
Illinois

Hi again Rhonda;
I finally fond the other items in the media player, recorded
items.
This still does not tell me what happened to items in the
wordprocessor.
What is wrong with my machine? Why would it be saying there no
files
and then I found some by using your other method. I used to be
able to
go to word-p and get a list of all my files with no trouble I
tried a
simple reset.
Terry
I have had the unit plugged in at my desk. Could a power outage
have
mest it up. I think someone else mentioned this problem. I was
going
to be out for a few days so I just left it plugged in so I would
not
have to wory about it.

Terry, if you, from the Main Menu, press M, you will be asked
what media file you want to play. If it is a memo you recorded,
you would space down to the "play back memo" prompt. Since I
don't know where you recorded those, it's hard to guess. Unless
you changed the drive, it would be under the "my memos" folder in
the Flash Disk. I just don't know where you did your recording
from. Did you set it up to change the drive? If you didn't, it's
definitely in the "my memos" folder on the Flash Drive.

Rhonda;
What drive should I be checking for the media feature or
recording
feature? I know I have files under wordprocessor, but when I
check
Flash disk--none
Keysoft---control panel.lnk
Keysoft is dead too
All I have is my address book
I was able to write in the wordprocessor on about Thursday.
Thanks for any help.

Terry, I'm not sure what you mean here. Are you talking about
memo recordings? Once you see your memo recording that you don't
want, you can press Backspace C, or Backspace with 2356. If you
think you should have something, and you can't find it, go to
file directory. From Main Menu, Press F, D. Go to your drive,
folder and file you are looking for. Press space once. At "list
of files" prompt, press Space with X. You will see "hidden
files", and will be able to see what is there.

Rhonda;
I used the backspace with c to erase one recorded item. I
checked
help
and this is what it gave me. I went back to listen to another
recording
and, thump, where were the rest of my recordings. I called you
butt you
must have been away. Then this little mistory about you being
sick came
up.
Can you get me back on track and give me a call so we can test my
cf and
my sd card, finally found.
It was funny. I was looking for something tiny, you all keep
saying a
stamp. I found it in a mailing envelope for a cd and the case
was
a lot
bigger than a stamp.
I am just glad I found it after that big move.

Hi Rhonda. Thanks so much for your prompt reply and good
suggestions.
I
did the reset and I'll see if anything changes. Do you know if
they
fixed
the calculator problem? Thanks.

Melissa, I would try going from Main Menu, and go in to Key
Word. Go
to
your Dictionary Folder on the Flash Disk. Press Enter. Press
the
Space
bar once to see "list of files", and press Space with X. When
you see
the
list of all files prompt, go down to the keysoft.ksd file.
Press
Backspace C. When you are asked if you are sure you want to
erase it,
say
yes. Don't go to the main menu, but do a reset there.
Everything
will go
back to default. Your emails will be in the "all" folder, but
you
won't
lose them. See if this helps.
Warm Regards,
Rhonda Clark,
Illinois

Subject: [Braillenote] Problems with classic BT 32
Hi. I am using a BN classic with a BT Keyboard running 6.1. I
was wondering about some strange behavior.
1. When I get the "Battery is Critical" message and plug the
unit in, after a full charge the unit resets when I turn it on.
I
hear
the beep and the whole thing resets on its own, it never used to
do
this
before and all of a sudden it does... why? It is kind of
annoying
since I
have to reset the date and time each time I charge the battery!
2. I tried to reset the precision or number of digits shown
after a decimal point in my calculator. It's stuck at zero
digits and
I
cant' change it. I followed the instructions in the userguide
but
can't
figure out what I'm missing there. Maybe someone can help?
These things may have been mentioned before, but I have been away
from the list for sometime and joined again just in time to hear
about
all
the latest BN gossip. Maybe I'll upgrade, but not any time
soon.
Thanks
for all your help and I hope to hear from someone soon.
Melissa
