Here's the real deal, Mary Ellen.  If you read and/or write in 
KEYWORD, you have much more flexibility and functionality.  The 
instant onboard HELP menu is also readily available and accurate.  
This holds true for both editing and navigation tasks. When 
you've finished working, you simply go into KEYWORD'S setup menu 
and choose to save the document in your preferred format. by 
using formats interchangeably, you reap the rewards of several 
programs.  HTH
