It would be a nice feature. Thanks for the help. I've passed this onto him. I suspect he would be disappointed, oh well. Thanks again. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bundy, Keith" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi, Chris. I have attempted to get a serial to USB adapter to work with
a BN classic using the latest JAWS and version 7 of Keysoft, to no
avail. I have been told that it is not possible, though I keep hoping
that info is wrong. I only need the BN as a braille display for
meetings a couple of times per week, but it certainly would be
beneficial.

Subject: [Braillenote] Serial to USB adaptors

Hi all,
I'm trying to help a friend of mine connect his BrailleNote to his PC
and use it as a Braille display. He's using the latest version of JAWS
and the model of Braillenote is a classic. Has anyone had any issues
regarding the use of serial to USB adaptors to connect the BrailleNote
via serial to be used as a Braille display? The issue he's having is the
display freezes and he had to do a reset to get the classic to work
again. Can I ask, will these issues be fixed in an MPower and Keysoft
7.2?
Thanks for any help.
