The battery gauge needs to be recalibrated. You can either follow the procedure as outlined in the manual, or just run the unit flat and recharge it. In the latter case, you may have to do that a couple of times, although once did it for mine. Personally, I don't like the recalibration procedure recommended by the manual because my BN will be out of commission for so long and I use it all the time.
