I did it from K1000 and typed in bible. I had noted both
versions in both
the Braille Book reviews, also.

Did you all know that Web Braille has a NIV bible in 24 volumes
and a KJV
bible in 23 volumes for download?
Also, if you want to use your computer, I can recommend a program
called
Bible Seeker. You can install several versions and can save
files in other
formats for printing etc.

Hello Tom,
I wanted to see if I could download the bible, and I was
successful in
downloading the NIV version.
I unpacked it, and it opens just fine.
I did have to perform a reset after I unpacked it, but once I did
so, I
was able to go back to the file and load it.
Hth,

Hey, speaking of the Bible from Bookshare, I downloaded the Daisy
version
just for kicks and grins, knowing that it would be fairly large.
It
unpacked fine, but when I try to open it using the Book Reader,
it gets
about 7 or 8 beeps into the process then locks up tighter than
Fort Knox.
This raises a question that I've seen here once before but which
was never
answered. Is there a size limit on Daisy books that will work in
the Book
Reader?
Tom

You could get the bible from bookshare.org It's in the public
domain and
it's free. It's really big though, so after you get it you need
to
separate it into books like Genesis and Exodus using block
commands--it's
a lot easier than it sounds.

Hello again!
If the files you refer to are exe files, you would then need to
execute them on your PC. Hopefully, they'd unzip to a particular
book of the Bible. You then would transfer these files onto your
BN
and act on them as I described earlier.

Subject: [Braillenote] Bible Question
Hi all,
I haven't been getting any response to my questions, so I hope my
mail is reaching the list. If so, I really need some help with
this.
I remember being told to download the version of the Bible I
wanted and put it into braille. However, when I download from
the
Online Bible site, it gives me a .exe file. How can I get in
there
and change the files to braille files?
Thanks for help with this matter.
