One great example of this is a newspaper. Instead of reading through everything or skipping around a .brf periodical and hoping to find something of interest, BookShare users can now look at a DAISY copy of that periodical and move by headings (home, international, letters, sports...). Once a category is selected, the list of articles in that heading is given, and pressing ENTER on an article will take you to that section of the book.

Have a great day,
Alex

Candi,
That is because DAISY is mopre powerful than brf files. DAISY
books have a
special marker telling the reader that it is a start of a heading
or a
section. So, in this case, the user will be able to move around
the book
more efficiently.

Just curious, if the BN only supports DAISY books from Bookshare,
and the
Bookshare Daisy books are Text-only, why do we even need DAISY
support at
all? I mean, you can only download DAISY books if you are a
member of
bookshare, and then you can also download BRF books. Since
Bookshare DAISY
books don't have narration, aren't they basically the same except
that the
DAISY books take up more space and freeze our units sometimes?
