Hi, Ann!

I am running KS5.1 and have developed two databases for myself pertaining to
bills and books I like to read.

>From the Keylist Menu, you need to change to the database you wish to deal
>with. Press the letter "s" twice till you see the prompt asking for the
>Keylist Filename. Space down to the name you want and press enter. Press
>escape, or whatever the equivalent is for the BNBT. This will place you back
>into the Keylist Menu. Now, you have two choices of adding things to your
>database. The first choice is: if you wish to add a totally new record, then
>just press the letter "a" for add, hit the space once to get to the first
>field name, and then fill in your fields pressing enter after each field is
>complete. When the fields are all filled in, then press control plus enter
>simultaneously, or the BNBT equivalent, to have the record added to your
>database.

For the second way of adding data, if you already have a record in your
database and wish to finish filling in your fields on a particular record, then
from the Keylist Menu, press the letter "l" for lookup. Press the spacebar once
to get to the first field and fill in the name and press enter for the record
to search and bring up your record. Once the record has appeared, press space
once to get into the first field and press control with the letter "k" so that
the record will allow you to type in it. Now, all the fields for the existing
record will appear, and all you have to do is fill in each field and press
enter. Once you are done with the record, you can press escape to go back to
the Keylist Menu (there will be a confirmation message about the changes
first), or, if you wish to work with another record, press control with the
enter key, or BNBT equivalent, and backspace back to the point where it gives
the complete name and arrow forward, or backward, through your records till you
find the next one to update, or, go back to the Keylist Menu and do another
lookup.

Remember, please, to change back to the database that you wish to use
regularly. I usually put mine back to the Address List database for that is the
one I use the most. If you are not sure which database you were last in, just
press the letter"l" for lookup and it will tell you that you are in the
selection list for whatever database you were in. If that isn't the one you
want, then just escape out and do your two s's and type in the correct name, or
space to the correct name and hit enter, then escape back to the Keylist Menu.

I hope this helps you out. I am using a BNQT myself, so I don't know the BT
commands. I figure you know them, or Rhonda will know them. Have fun, anyway!
