I seem to remember that the BN has always done that. I don't know if it has something to do with the fact that the BN recognizes all-caps words ending in an apostrophe s as initials, like CD's or DVD's. It's something weird like that.

Subject: [Braillenote] Problem with pronunciation

Hi,
write the word "today's" in grade 2 (td's). That's td apostrophe
s.

Then, write it in all caps, (two dot sixes in front of it.)
Now, read it either by itself or in a sentence, like THE THEME OF
TODAY'S WORSHIP.
When you have it in all caps, it says "t o d a y's".
Now, put any word in all caps with an apostrophe s and you will
find
it is spelled, rather than pronounced properly.
